Nutrition Tracking

Nutrition page showing daily calorie and macro charts

Logging a meal

Nutrition entries record what was eaten, when, and a full macro and micronutrient breakdown — calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, fiber, sugar, and key vitamins and minerals. Entries are grouped by meal and date, so a day's intake can be reviewed as a whole rather than as a scattered list.

Why track macros and micros, not just calories

A calorie count alone doesn't say much about diet quality. Tracking protein, fiber, and micronutrients alongside calories makes nutrition data actually useful for spotting patterns — a stretch of low iron intake, for instance, is far more informative next to a hemoglobin trend from the Lab Results section than either fact is alone.

Trends over time

Like vitals and lab results, nutrition data supports date-range filtering so intake can be reviewed over a day, a week, or a longer stretch — useful both for general awareness and for sharing a real dietary record with a nutritionist or physician rather than a memory of "roughly what I've been eating."

Exporting nutrition data

Nutrition records are included in every human-readable export format (PDF, HTML, Markdown, CSV, plain text) alongside the rest of your record, so a visit summary or shared link can include dietary intake right next to vitals and lab results for a complete picture.
